Dr. Babih is the founder of the African Women's Research Initiative for Social Empowerment (African Women's R.I.S.E.), combining research expertise with a passion for empowering girls and communities across Africa. With over a decade of experience at the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, plus several years in the legal field, she has developed deep expertise in development and social justice.
Growing up in Sierra Leone, Dr. Babih witnessed firsthand how harmful societal norms like early marriage and limited educational access affected girls in her community. This personal perspective informs her work, breaking down barriers for the next generation of African women.
