Dr. Karla Bailey

Board Member, Global Education Innovator and AI Equity Advocate

Dr. Karla Bailey is a visionary leader and global advocate for education, technology, and equity. With over two decades of experience in program management, training and development, and strategic leadership across government, academic, and nonprofit sectors, she brings a wealth of expertise to African Women’s RISE.

 

Dr. Bailey holds a doctorate in education with a research focus on the intersection of artificial intelligence and equitable access in higher education. A certified Project Manager and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, she has successfully led multi-million-dollar federal training programs and designed innovative learning systems to empower underserved communities.

 

As a Fulbright Specialist, Dr. Bailey seeks to collaborate internationally to advance inclusive education, sustainable development, and capacity building. She also serves as Managing Editor of the American Journal of STEM Education, where she uplifts diverse voices in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

 

Passionate about empowering women and girls through education and entrepreneurship, Dr. Bailey is deeply committed to African Women’s RISE’s mission to amplify African women’s voices, build leadership capacity, and create transformative opportunities for sustainable development.
